2 cups of shortening
1 ¾ cups of confectioner’s sugar
5 cups of flower
½ cup of corn starch
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 ½ finely chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350° F. Combine in a blender the sugar and butter and mix until butter becomes fluffy. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.
Shape cookies into desired form. You can flatten with a rolling pin and use a cookie cutter.
Place the shapes on a cookie sheet and bake for 12 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove from oven and let them cool so they can finish to cook.
Yields 4 dozens depending on the size of the shapes.
