Will the Arizona law be stopped before it is enacted?
Sphere: Related ContentToday Wednesday May 12, hours after The United Nations condemned the measure, Arizona’s governor, Jan Brewster, signed another ridiculous law that take Arizona more and more in to a White-Supremacist State. Under the new law it is now illegal to teach Ethnic Studies. Tom Horne, a Republican running for attorney general and Arizona’s Schools Chief, said that studying other ethnic groups “promotes resentment towards a certain ethnic group.” The School District will no longer offer their programs in African-American, Mexican-American and Native-American studies that focus on history and literature.
So what will happen with the American History course that focuses on the role of Hispanics in the Vietnam War?
Is the American History course NOT a study of ethnic groups?
